The small print

Privacy Policy

The short version: this is a simple website for an author. It doesn’t track you, doesn’t use analytics or advertising cookies, and only ever knows your email address if you choose to type it into the newsletter box.

Last updated: 28 June 2026.

Who we are

This website promotes the books written under the pen name Nole Moody. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights below, contact us at limey.author@gmail.com. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Nole Moody is the “data controller” for the limited personal data described here.

What we collect, and why

  • Your email address — only if you sign up to the newsletter. We use it solely to send occasional news about new books and related updates. The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing (and confirming via the email we send you).
  • Anything you put in an email to us. If you write to us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you.

We do not collect names, addresses, payment details or any special category data through this site. Books are bought on Amazon, not here, so no purchase or payment information ever reaches us.

Cookies & tracking

This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from this site itself, so ordinary browsing sends your information to no one.

Who processes your data on our behalf

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site and the mailing list:

  • MailerLite — manages our newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address is stored and processed by MailerLite on our behalf. See the MailerLite privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosts and delivers this website. To serve the site securely, Cloudflare may process limited technical information (such as your IP address) in its logs. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards (such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses) are relied upon.

How long we keep it

We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep email correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by unsubscribing);
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, our use of your data.

To exercise any of these, email limey.author@gmail.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Unsubscribing

Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link — one click and you’re off the list, no questions asked. You can also email us to be removed.

Links to other sites

This site links out to Amazon (to buy the books) and occasionally elsewhere. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don’t control — do check them.

Children

This site and its newsletter are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly. Material changes affecting subscribers will be communicated by email where appropriate.

This policy is provided in good faith as a clear, plain-English summary. If you need formal legal certainty, it’s worth having a solicitor review it for your circumstances.
